Commitment and responsibility are very important at STW. As a company, not only are we responsible for our employees, we are also an active part of the community. It goes without saying, therefore, that we also assume responsibility outside of STW. With various donations and sponsorships, we also support active club life in Schenkenzell and the surrounding area.
The Schenkenzell/Schiltach players’ association (founded in 2000) is an integral part of the handball map in southern Baden and has meanwhile been reinforced by the handball players from Alpirsbach for HSG Kinzigtal. For many years, the teams also played nationally up to the 3rd division. The focus of the players’ association is on a sound education of the children and young people. Talented female and male players keep coming to the players’ association, and this provides a stepping stone to higher-class teams. But the players’ association is not only active on the handball field. At numerous events, the players’ association is an important part of the cultural life of both communities. STW has been supporting the handball team of the Schenkenzell/Schiltach players’ association for many years and has been a premium sponsor of the players’ association since 2017.
SC Kaltbrunn was founded in 1967 and is a football club with around 350 members. The sports ground in Kaltbrunn consists of an artificial turf field, a club hut with catering and sanitary facilities, and a large club house with 4 changing rooms, 2 shower rooms and a separate room for the referee. A large training room and a business room are housed on the upper floor. The two active teams play in district league A of the Northern Black Forest area. The A, B and C juniors form a players’ association with neighbouring Spvgg. Schiltach. The D, E and F juniors and the Bambinis are managed independently. STW has been supporting SC Kaltbrunn for many years.
The tennis club from Schenkenzell was founded in 1983 when tennis was booming. Since its foundation with 59 proud founding members, the club has continued to develop, and it now attracts young and old from the surrounding area. In addition to active women's and men's teams, the club has cultivated young talent in the children's and youth sector here for many decades. STW is pleased to support them with an annual donation.
How do I behave properly in road traffic? The Kreisverkehrwacht Rottweil e.V. and the K&L Verlag have set themselves the goal of answering this question in a way that is suitable for children and have published an easy-to-understand colouring book for girls and boys of kindergarten and primary school age. With many pictures to colour in, the book playfully prepares children for the dangers of road traffic and how to behave correctly. Sammy the turtle comments and explains the different situations on 36 pages in an easy-to-understand way. This allows the children to learn about the traffic lights, when a bicycle is roadworthy or why a helmet is important. At the same time, teachers, educators and parents can discuss and go through the illustrations with the children. STW supports the annual traffic colouring book for primary school children, which deals with the dangers and risks of road traffic in an age-appropriate and playful way.
On the occasion of STW’s 100th anniversary, the company funded a ball pit with branded STW balls for the large children's area. Together with a bouncy castle and giant screen, it provided lots of fun. After the successful festivities, STW management announced that the STW ball pit would be donated to the St. Luitgard Catholic day-care centre in Schenkenzell. The ball pit was duly inaugurated by the children after the summer holidays and is happily integrated into everyday kindergarten life.
Blasmusikverband Kinzigtal e. V. celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022. 36 member bands and two association orchestras were looking forward to this major event, stretching from Zunsweier near Offenburg to Hornberg and from Biberach to Bad Rippoldsau. STW was happy to support this special anniversary with a donation.
In bright sunshine, the first children of the crèche group in the Ortisei kindergarten took delivery of a nursery bus that was donated by STW. The 6-seater nursery bus with caterpillar decoration on the side and STW logo on the radiator hood was met with great enthusiasm. The nursery teachers and kindergarten director Ines Tessmer and Mayor Heinzelmann expressed their sincere thanks to the management. Not only does the children's bus make work easier for the teachers, it also offers lots of fun as a great excursion vehicle and turns every outing into an experience. In the future, it will be possible to see the little ones and their teachers whizzing around the village with it.
